Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite.

Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Wolverley and can honestly say it is one the best sites in the club. The site was very clean and tidy and the beautiful flower beds were everywhere around the site. There is a large multi purpose playing field where you can walk dogs, which is used by locals as well as the club patrons. There is some traffic noise from the road next to the site but it did not disturb us that much. The only problems were people who did not pick up after their dogs even though there were plenty of bins around. We have 2 small dogs ourselves so I am having a go at the owners and not the dogs. The other thing we noticed was the people who were not keeping to the 5 mile an hour rule around the site, and there were lots of young children around especially at the weekends, in addition to this people where driving the wrong way around the site even though it is a one way system. We found a lovely little tea rooms just next the canal path and lovely walks down the path in both ways. Although the weather was very hot and made it that we had to stay in the shade as our dogs did not cope very well with the heat otherwise we would have visited more of the area. We will definitely be going back a lovely 5 star site..

Just returned from another great stay at Wolverley.

Just returned from another great stay at Wolverley. Once again everything was fine and this site always ticks all the boxes ! The only thing that spoilt it for me this time was Parents allowing their children to play ball games on site amongst the units, some parents even joining in ! There was three such groups doing this this , do they not read the booklet they are given when they arrive on site ? or do they just choose to ignore the site rules.
