Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite.

Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

Wardens very friendly and helpful to everyone with a happy outlook. The site is very well kept from facilities to grounds. With so many places to visit locally from National Trusts places to Forests and open spaces. A wander along the Canal is just next to the site too. A lovely Cafe in Wolverley next to The Queens Head Pub is highly recommended. If you like to Walk then Kinver Edge and the surrounding area is a must. All in all this is our second visit here and we plan to return.

We will certainly be back, excellent friendly staff, 2 pubs close by and lovely walks along the canal. The facilities were the cleanest that we have seen at a camping and caravan club site. Well done ??????

I cant fault the staff or the site according to facilities or welcome however I cant recommend this site due to the constant noise from traffic that we experienced. We were due to stay 4 nights but could only manage 2 due to lack of sleep from the road. We looked forward to a peaceful break away and couldnt concentrate on reading a book or sit outside with the sound. It didnt stop all day with cars still going past at 2am. Nice site, wrong location.
