Overview

2015 Best CS Winner! The site features five numbered serviced pitches for caravans/motorhomes each with a 16A supply, two taps per pitch and grey water removal, so you will be able to set up at your pitch as soon as you arrive. We provide a waste collection trough and pipe for grey water. We also provide a selection of levelling blocks/boards etc. Easy access to the site is off a wide and straight stretch of Lask Edge Road, 190m from junctions. Entrance gate is set back so outfits can pull straight off the road onto 18m of Grasscrete. There are beautiful and expansive views of the Staffordshire Moorlands and the Peak District National Park. The whole of the historic market town of Leek can be viewed from all caravan/motorhome pitches. Local shops/pub (0.8 miles), Supermarkets (3.2 miles+), Restaurants (2.5 miles+). A bus to Leek (Bakers 424) goes past the site Monday to Friday and will stop on request (market day on Wednesday). National Trust sites in Biddulph, Congleton, Mow Cop. Pottery museums in Stoke-on-Trent, other attractions nearby include Rudyard Lake, Jodrell Bank, Churnet Valley Steam Railway, Trentham Gardens, Monkey Forest and Alton Towers. Horton Common CS is only 24 minutes from the M6 J16.
Please contact the campsite directly if you have any questions about opening dates, facilities or additional measures at this campsite.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

To vote for your favourite CS, all you need to do is fill in the online form and select which category you would like to nominate the campsite for.
