Overview

Situated on the beautiful Mendip Hills, Oakhill Camping and Caravanning at Lime Kiln Farm, is part of a small working family farm. Wildlife will be part of your stay from the buzzards in the sky to the rabbits, foxes and deer in the fields. Located in a most peaceful area on the farm, away from major roads but close to local pubs serving some of the best food in the area, all walkable. And if you like walking, there are quiet lanes and footpaths in abundance. The Somerset Levels, the Mendip Hills and the historic cities of Wells and Bath are all within a few miles. Cheddar, Wookey Hole, and Longleat are all within 45 minutes or less. And NT properties are plentiful. Children will have plenty of space to play and the village playpark is adjoining. We have toilets & hot showers on site and a chemical disposal point. Hardstandings with electric hookups and grass hook ups too. But if you really want to camp the old fashioned as we have nonelectric pitches. Fire pits are available for hire with logs for sale. Well behaved dogs are welcome to explore the field. PLEASE BOOK ONLINE VIA WEBSITE http://www.oakhillcamping.co.uk

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
