    Overview

    Adjacent to the East Sussex coast, our Normans Bay Club site is a haven for walkers and nature lovers. Lying directly opposite the campsite, the sand and shingle beach is ideal for sandcastles, kite flying and bathing.

     

    With Eastbourne and Brighton to the west and Bexhill-on-Sea to the east, this campsite is perfect for a family camping holiday.

     

    With 200 spacious and level pitches, Normans Bay Club Site has three amenity blocks, washing machines, parent and child rooms, children’s play area and a recreation hall.

     

    Nearby, Pevensey Level is famed for nature conservation and agriculture. For walkers, the South Downs Way can be picked up at the Seven Sister Country Park and is a great way to explore the stunning Sussex countryside.

     

    In 1066, the Normans landed here, and consequently, the local area is steeped in colourful history. Join the 1066 Way, passing Battle, Hastings and Pevensey Castle – one of Britain’s oldest strongholds.

     

    Situated less than five miles south-west of the campsite, Eastbourne exhibits parks, gardens, a host of shops at Sovereign Marina, craft outlets, eateries, beaches and a variety of water-based activities. 

     

    Further afield, there is plenty to do in the local area, including the magnificent moated Herstmonceux Castle, Drusillas Park and Charleston Manor.

    		 These are grass pitches with no electric hook-up or other services, suitable for a standard sized tent, caravan or motorhome.

    		These are hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up, suitable for a standard sized tent, caravan or motorhome.


    		These are jumbo grass pitches with no electric hook-up, suitable for units measuring more than 5m x 9m.


    		These are jumbo grass pitches with electric hook-up, suitable for units measuring more than 5m x 9m.

     

    Worth Noting

    • The site is next to a dog-friendly beach, where fishing is available.
    • No ball games, kite flying or frisbees are allowed on site. These can be played on the beach opposite the site.
    • Unfortunately, we can only accommodate one car per pitch on site. There is a small car park with limited availability, but please be aware that you may have to park any additional cars off site.

     

    WiFi

    100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. More information. 

     

    Eat Local

    There is a farmers’ market in Pevensey Bay every other Saturday. The Smugglers Pub in Pevensey uses local produce and is dog friendly. Campers can also get 10% off their meal.
