    Set in the gorgeous scenery of the Scottish Lowlands, Moffat Club Site is ideal as a stopover on longer trips and also as a great destination in its own right. Located on the edge of the Victorian market town of Moffat, this site is close to great walking, lovely independent eateries, and some of Scotland’s most underrated natural beauty.

     

    Ample attractions

    This open campsite has grass and hardstanding pitches for all unit types and benefits from modern facilities such as an amenities block, motorhome service point, laundry area, and designated dog walk. A five-minute walk puts you in the heart of Moffat, where you’ll find a museum, the famous statue of Colvin Ram, a pretty church, and the world’s narrowest hotel – the Star.

     

    Waterfall wonder

    If you do stay here for a few nights, take the short drive over to Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall. From here you can take a reasonably strenuous hike up to the stunning Loch Skeen and get unrivalled views down into the glacial valley below. Other impressive places to visit in the area include the Devil’s Beef Tub, Drumlanrig Castle, Morton Castle, and Lochmaben Castle.
