We stayed for 3 nights. Very pleasant reception staff. Was shown to pitch by a helpful man on a bike. Good pitch site near water and waste point and toilet block. Site, toilet/shower block very clean and tidy. Nice to have a small shop and bar on site. Good location for visiting Lake Windermere and all it has to offer. We did boat trip on lake a few choose from, but ticket office very helpful. Visited a few local villages/towns. Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the The Sun Inn Kendal really good value for money. Recommended by site. Really enjoyable stay and visit would stay again.

We generally had a very enjoyable 7 night stay - welcome and setup was fine although they were surprised about the pitch we were on given tent size - even though this was clearly on our booking. It was clear that there were a lot of members who didn't necessarily appreciate the CCC etiquette (cleaning shower after use, no noise after 11pm). Our last night (Friday) wasn't great as many tents descended on the site - clearly for the weekend or one night - however they were still being let onto site after 11pm and were obviously noisy when setting up at this time. There is also an issue for parking for the number of tents arriving and this wasn't good. So generally satisfied but unfortunately these items took the edge off our time there

Stayed for 4 nights in June. Cant give a bigger thank you to all the staff and management. Following various calamities leading up to the break they accommodated and bent over backwards to ensure we could have our break away. We were welcomed with polite greetings and all the facilities and site were kept clean and tidy. Thank you for going the extra mile.
