Overview

Glan Y Gors is located in the Snowdonia foothills above the scenic Elwy Valley running parallel to the Conwy Valley. It sits on a peaceful, rural hilltop on the outskirts of the picturesque Welsh village of Llangernyw famous for its 4500 year old yew tree. The campsite is part of our 5 acre smallholding where we breed pedigree Soay Sheep and Pygmy goats. We also keep ducks, geese and hens with delicious eggs available from our honesty box. Public walking footpaths are nearby and circular walks around the lanes ideal for dog walking. Enjoy scenic views of the Snowdonia range, experience spectacular sunsets then stargaze at the clear night sky. Barbecues/fire pits permitted but must be raised off the ground. The site is well placed for the North Wales coast, Bodnant Gardens, Eglwysbach, Conwy Castle, Llandudno, Snowdon, Surf Snowdonia, Zip Fforest, Zip World and many other North Wales attractions. The Old Stag pub in Llangernyw is dog friendly, serves real ale, home cooked food and takeaways. We recommend that you follow the official directions from the website or Siteseeker book and approach from Abergele via Rhyd-Y-Foel rather than following your sat nav.
