    Best for

Culture vultures, history fans, shopaholics, walkers

Home to world-famous universities, engrossing museums, first-rate shopping, and some of the most beautiful architecture in the country, Cambridge is not your typical camping holiday location. Cambridge Club Site puts you just four miles from the city centre and offers easy access via bus routes, cycle lanes, and footpaths. It makes for an ideal and more affordable way to witness one of England’s most historic cities.

    Your sanctuary

Located in Great Shelford to the south of Cambridge, this club site offers peaceful, tree-lined surroundings along with level pitches to accommodate all camping unit types. It’s a pleasant spot to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing, and also offers great walking to the south in the hills and beech woods of the Cambridgeshire countryside.

    An underrated region

Exploring Cambridge and its various attractions can easily fill a few days, but if you want something different, there are other appealing market towns within a short drive, such as Newmarket and Ely – the latter of which offers the chance of boat trips on the River Great Ouse. About 10 miles to the west is the National Trust property Wimpole Estate, which is home to a grand mansion and picturesque parklands perfect for afternoon strolls.
