Beaches near our Slapton Sands Campsite, South Devon
Our Slapton Sands Club Site is one of our top campsites in Devon by the sea, at just a 10-minute walk away from the shore.
Slapton Sands beach is a rip-roaring ribbon of sand and shingle that sweeps along South Devon’s eye-popping coastline, stretching from Monument in the north to Torcross in the south and patrolled by lifeguards throughout the summer.
A top attraction at Slapton Sands Beach is the Slapton Ley Nature Reserve – a massive freshwater lagoon that’s surrounded by reedbeds, marshes and woodland, only separated from the sea by a narrow sandbar. It’s a wondrous place to observe wildlife.
This part of the coastline is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB). Spectacular shallow shores and long, flat sandy bays make this piece of paradise deserving of its ANOB status.
Slapton Sands is a dog-friendly beach too, meaning your canine companion can get in on the action, running tirelessly to their heart’s content. It’s a great place for your four-legged friend to enjoy fun and frolics.
