Great little CS site; feel like you're in the middle of nowhere with great walks straight into the forest. Basic but adequate facilities. Really enjoyed our 3 nights at Hall Farm; needed to be in the area to visit family and found Mike's site on the Club Website. Despite being in the Kings Forest/Thetford Forest Park the site is very open set in farmland with great footpaths and direct access to the forest where you can walk as far as your legs will carry you! Nearest town is Bury St Edmunds (5 miles) with great shops, Abbey, market and restaurants and various other tourist attractions in the area make this a good site to base yourself for a Suffolk holiday. Pitches are fairly level with 16amp hookups. The fenced field is very spacious with one water tap and bins near the gate. The chemical disposal point is just outside the field near the toilet cabin which has been installed for any campers who do not have their own facilities; there are washbasins with cold water but no shower (yet) but Mike is still developing things and has only been operating for 2 years. He is friendly but not intrusive and would be contactable if you needed him. We had TV reception after a bit of trial and error adjusting of the ariel; no 3G or 4G though (on EE). Towing was easy on a good access B road and the site well signposted through the farm; you just drive on, choose your own pitch and Mike comes later for the money. Great site if you like walking and or have dogs or bikes. Price is reasonable, not the cheapest CL site (16 per night) but worth it we thought.

Could be described as a bit basic, but site hasn't been operating long and owners are working hard to improve. Toilet cabin just installed for tenters. EHU and one tap in a fenced field so secure for children and dogs. Dogs are welcome and there are forest walks close by for dogs, cycling etc. I found this site so wonderfully peaceful and will definitely come again when revisiting Suffolk.

This is a very lovely site for those requiring seclusion.

This review is for Hall Farm

This is a very lovely site for those requiring seclusion. Facilities are very basic, with hook up points around the perimeter of the fenced field, a single drinking water tap, a couple of bins and a chemical toilet disposal point a few metres up the farm lane, away from the camping field. There are no showers. For those without their own toilet, there is a portaloo outside one of the farm buildings. The site is not especially suitable for those who are less mobile. From the camping field, there are uninterrupted views across fields to the borders of Kings Wood, a beautiful dense forest teaming with wildlife and providing lovely walks. A great site, and we look forward to returning. Perfect for sunnier weather.
