Superb little site - basic facilities but that's what the beauty is. Really peaceful and so close to the forest walks/rides. fenced in so ok This is a superb little site that is neatly kept - the approach through the farm buildings was Perry and rustic but all is kept tidy - first impression counts and was a good one. There is nothing to do directly on the site other than enjoy this fact which we loved; so peaceful. The forest is easy to get into and walk/cycle for miles and miles. The site is neatly fenced in to keep foxes out I guess but is good to keep the kids in if needed. We stayed in a caravan which has everything on board so no shower block was no issue for us but may be if you didn't have this feature in your outfit. There is a small toilet block which is basic but clean and well kept - ideal. The water pressure from the drinking water tap is excellent...... Just 1 minute to fill a 40 litre aqua roll - not sure if this is chance or by design, but I have been to sites where this takes 6 mins...... In summary we love this little site and will visit again. It is about 10 mins into Bury St Edmunds if you need to visit there but could be so much further out such is the peaceful nature of this site.

The perfect spot for a peaceful weekend break Just 15 minutes from the historical town of Bury St Edmunds and yet an oasis of quiet and tranquility. We didn't mark this down for 'Families' simply because there is very little for younger children to do on site. Older kids can jump on their bikes and go screaming up and down the forest tracks unsupervised. Plenty of walking into the Forest direct from the site without touching a tarmac road. 8 EHU, standpipe and dustbins within the gated meadow and a small 'His & Hers' portacabin just outside. Michael came and said hello and made sure we were all sorted. Had a couple of heavy showers but site drained really well. Was lovely to watch the Kestrel's hunting in the evening sun and despite the road only being a field away, it was barely noticeable. Planning to revisit when we can.

Even better than last year! We stayed at this site a year ago, and loved it then, with a wonderful and huge forest only a stones throw away. This year, the site has been further improved with the addition of two very clean loos. No shower (yet) but we use the one in our van anyway. Looking forward to another visit soon.
