Overview

  • A popular site for families

    Great site for families

A theme park, the nearby snow dome and National Forest make this a popular family site.

One of the country’s top theme parks and zoo is located right next door to this Club Site in the Midlands. Our site at Drayton Manor is ideal for families who want to make the most of the popular attraction. Similarly, those wanting a base to explore the area’s other attractions – how about Cadbury World, the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, National Forest or Tamworth with its castle and Snow Dome - would be equally at home at here too.

The open and slightly sloping campsite in a peaceful location has 90 pitches, a large facilities block and washing up area, well-run shop and children’s play area. But its biggest appeal is its proximity to the theme park.

There is no shortage of thrills and spills at Drayton Manor with rides to suit everyone from the thrilling white knuckle Maelstrom and Apocalypse to the more sedate traditional carousel ride and Thomas Land attraction with 12 wonderful Thomas-themed rides and indoor play area.

Please note that the Theme Park is fully booked on the 14th September 2014.

Please be aware the "Ride to the Wall" event is taking place in the area on Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th October 2014. Please contact the site directly to make a booking on 01827 260 617

This was our second visit to this site with our grandson and the main reason for our visit was to visit the theme park next door. We chose our pitch and were allowed to drive through so no reversing required. The site filled up quickly on the Friday evening. We enjoyed some superb hot weather all weekend. The site has flat pitches and all the facilities are first class. As it seems to be quite new, there are no tress or other means of dividing the pitches so there is no privacy but not a problem for us. Cars are parked at the front on the vans so when we came to leave, access was a bit tricky so as we drove onto the pitch I could see no reason not to spin my van round and go off the way I came. Once I had done this the warden ran over and said it was not allowed to drive off that way. I found this to be incredibly petty but was left with no choice but to maul the van back round through 180 degs and squeeze out of my pitch with inches to spare. It was baking hot so the grass would not have been damaged. Apart from that "jobsworth" moment everything else was first class.

Lovely clean site ideally situated for Drayton Manor Park and many other attractions in the local area. The team that run this site are friendly and constantly cleaning. They take their job very seriously which is great. We asked for a quiet pitch as we had young children and they did pitch us in a quieter area. There was still noise as there seemed to be some teenage groups there but it did seem quiet from around 11.30p.m. Facilities are all spotless. There is only one thing we'd like to see improved. We'd love to see an improved playground with more to do as this was packed in the evening and our young children felt intimidated by the older kids which was a shame. Perhaps two separate play areas would be better for different age groups. I would recommend this site and it is so easy to get to. Try the Spice takeway as the food is reasonably priced and amazing.

Brilliant site, easy to find and get to.

Brilliant site, easy to find and get to. Check in was easy and the guys there are really friendly and helpful showing us to our pitch and explaining where everything was. Couldn't fault the site at all, place was spotless. Plenty of hot water for hand washing showers and washing up, although the water was very hot in the taps be careful with children, their were plenty of signs to say it was hot though. Lovely park for the kids to play on and plenty of other kids to make friends. Site is literally a 5 min walk from entrance 2 to the theme park and they will stamp your hand for you to go in and out. We had a fantastic stay here and all really enjoyed this site, only bad thing was we had only booked 2 nights! Thank you
