Overview

Great site for exploring the pretty Cotswolds towns and their attractions.

Amid the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds is where you’ll find the Club’s charming Chipping Norton campsite. Tucked away off the beaten track, this campsite offers a mix of level and sloping pitches, surrounded by trees and dry stone walls.

If it’s peace and tranquillity you are after, this site delivers in spades. But it would a shame not to venture off site and explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Hop in your car or catch the bus right outside the site and discover the charms of Chipping Norton itself, Chadlington, Charbury and Witney for starters.

No stay at Chipping Norton campsite should be without a visit to Stow on the Wold, Bourton-on-the- Water and Batsford. As well as brimming with charm, they boast an eclectic mix of family attractions including Birdland and a model village in Bourton. Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor are also worth visiting.

If you'd like to go glamping then Chipping Norton Ready Camp is the perfect choice. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping so chocks will be required. The site has full recycling facilities.

Not good experience for toddlers campsite on busy road so lots of noise in a tent which woke everyone all night. Dissapointed ! Also has a road running through so once again not toddler friendly...should have been advised when we booked but sadly we werent. Perfect for older couples or those shielded feom traffic noise.

The site is very close to busy A road.

This review is for Chipping Norton

The site is very close to busy A road. The pitch we were given is less than 30 feet from the road. Constant traffic spoils the tranquility of this site which in every other aspect was excellent.

We booked this site because we wanted to explore the surronding area.

We booked this site because we wanted to explore the surronding area. The site was lovely and the staff were very friendly, they went out of their way when ever we asked for information. The facilities were lovely and clean with lots of hot water. Our pitch was under some trees and because it was wet we got heavy drops off the trees, we were also next to a road and the noise was amplified because it was wet. But as we live near a main rd it wasnt a big deal but for others it maybe. As for exploring we couldnt do much as the bus routes were shocking (We were in a motorhome, not easy to find a parking space). If you want to travel around be prepared to get several buses and they stop running between 5/6pm. Still a lovely part of the world and worth a visit. We will be going back but we will hire a car next time, because we will remember our paper licences.
