Walk a few steps from our Club Site at Beadnell Bay and you are among the sand dunes of the North Northumberland Heritage Coast. In the other direction you will find idyllic countryside – a forgotten paradise.

You have won me over to membership of The Camping and Caravanning Club. This is such a well run Site. - Mrs Carter

The Coast and Castles and National Cycle Routes pass the Club Site.

Walkers will enjoy exploring the surrounding Cheviot Hills.

The local sand dunes are a haven for birdlife, even in winter.

Much of the Northumberland Heritage Coast is designated both a Heritage Coast and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Bamburgh’s Grace Darling Museum commorates the 22-year-old who rescued many sailors in 1838.

The medieval Alnwick Castle makes a good day out, especially for Harry Potter fans who can see locations for the recent films.

Visit some of Northumberland’s many castles and fortified buildings – known as bastles and peletowers. These include Kielder, Bamburgh, and Chillingham.

The Grand Cascade is the largest water feature of its kind in the UK. The Cascade is in Alnwick Garden.

Beadnell and Seahouses harbours are famous for their watersports, attracting divers, anglers, windsurfers and canoeists. The Club Site has a shower for those in wetsuits.

Take a boat from Seahouses to the Farne Islands, home to around 55,000 pairs of nesting puffins.


Did You Know

In the past, Beadnell was very popular with smugglers. In 1762, 2,700 gallons of brandy, over 1,000 gallons of wine and 400 of rum and gin were seized by customs officers.

Worth Noting

This site has Standard Pitches only (no electric hook-up or hardstanding). Steel pegs required for tents due to winds. No designated motor home service point on site, therefore a hose or bucket will be required.

Eat Local

Swallow Fish Ltd in Seahouses supplies local wet fish, including crab and sea bass. Robert Carter and Sons in Bamburgh sells local meat, cheeses and pies. Craster Smoke House smokes and sells fish.

Seperate disabled facilities The Club was working to improve accessibility of our Sites long before the Disability Discrimination Act came into force in 2004. We are committed to a continual programme of improvements through access audits to ensure our facilities are available to all.
