Of course Milarrochy Bay campsite is much more than just a pretty face. It's a peaceful spot that's comfortable and well-equipped with showers, toilets, laundry facilities, a children's play area and a family washroom. After an action-packed day, rest your weary limbs in a comfortable bed and enjoy all the little luxuries of our contemporary glamping tents. It's the perfect way to enjoy Scotland's great outdoors to the full, on the banks of Loch Lomond.

Naturally, the location of Milarrochy Bay campsite lends itself to plenty of fishing, photography and watersports, not to mention rambling, cycling and fun outdoorsy adventures. The site itself is based within Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park - placing you right in the heart of Scotland's magical scenery and wide-open spaces. A great way to explore the National Park is to follow part of the West Highlands Way footpath. This spectacular 96-mile walking trail starts at Milngavie and rambles past your doorstep, unfurling right along the shores of Loch Lomond through Glen Falloch to the head of Glencoe, up the Devil’s Staircase to its finishing point at Gordon Square in Fort William.

Our Milarrochy Bay campsite is perfect for long hikes in the great outdoors. If you fancy a challenge, why not take a crack at Ben Lomond? The highest mountain in the area can be reached by following the West Highlands Way trail northwards from the campsite in the direction of Rowardennan. If you don't fancy going it alone, there are a number of guided hikes available. Head south of the campsite to Balloch, in the Balloch Castle and Country Park, from where a number of organised hikes start at the Loch Lomond Shores Visitor Centre. Why not try out some water sports while you're there?

A distillery tour is an absolute must whilst staying at Milarrochy Bay campsite. Glengoyne Distillery is found along the West Highlands Way at Blairquhosh, which is open to the public for tastings and tours. Other distilleries nearby include Deanston Distillery near Doune, a former cotton mill, and Auchentoshan Distillery by Dalmuir in Clydebank.
