Visiting The Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition
Immerse yourself in the mystery and beauty of Scotland’s most famous loch at the Loch Ness Centre.
About Loch Ness
Stretching for over 22 miles, Loch Ness contains more water than all the lakes of England and Wales combined. Don’t think that means it’s Scotland’s biggest loch though, Loch Lomond owns that title!
The gorgeous dark blue hue of Loch Ness’s water is due to peat washing from the hills into the loch which adds to the mysterious atmosphere surrounding the area.
Reasons to visit the Loch Ness Centre
While staying on our Loch Ness Shores Club Site you’ll have direct access to the water on the south shore. You can sit and look for Nessy, take photographs, or even launch boats just a few steps from your pitch.
To learn more about the loch and immerse yourself in the mystery of the Loch Ness Monster, the Loch Ness Centre is perfect.
There’s a one-hour cinematic experience which walks you through 500 million years of history. From hidden secrets to scientific research, you’ll be able to delve as deep into the loch and its history as you desire.
There are eight rooms to explore to help you relive the accounts of the monster and decide if you also believe in the myth.
Facilities at the centre include toilets and a baby change area for customers. The centre is fully accessible and welcomes well behaved dogs. There’s complimentary on-site parking and it’s worth noting that it’s a cashless attraction.
Once you’re done at the Loch Ness Centre, one of the best ways to search for Nessy is via a boat cruise. You’ll find lots of boat tour operators to choose from with varying cruise lengths available.
