Getting to Castle Howard

Castle Howard’s location makes it easy to get to. From our Slingsby Club Site, it’s a 6-minute drive, and from our Sheriff Hutton Club Site, it’s a 14-minute drive by car. Parking is free, and there’s a separate car park for Blue Badge holders.

Castle Howard is also easily accessible via public transport. You can get the number 81 bus directly from York or get the train to Malton Station and then catch the bus the rest of the way.

Castle Howard opening times

The grounds, Farm Shop, and other amenities at Castle Howard are open year-round. However, the House is open from April to October each year. It’s advisable to check opening times prior to visiting.
