Best for

Tranquillity seekers, walkers, sunset chasers, great outdoor lovers, couples

If camping to you means losing yourself in the great outdoors, then you may struggle to find a site that offers as much variety as Ravenglass Club Site. Situated in six acres of lush, mature woodland, this site is also just 500m from the coast, and within a stone’s throw of some of the Lake District’s most impressive mountains.

Refurbished and rural

This peaceful and secluded campsite is the perfect place to get away from it all and caters for all unit types. Tent campers will love the tree-lined camping field. The campsite was renovated in 2024 and has a refurbished toilet block, dedicated accessible and family rooms, and a motorhome service point. It’s also within walking distance of pubs in Ravenglass village.

Sunsets and scenery

Also in the village is the La’al Ratty Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway – a scenic seven-mile saunter through the jaw-dropping Eskdale Valley. It’s a great way to see mountains up close if you’re not feeling energetic enough to hike them. If you are, then perhaps England’s highest peak Scafell Pike can interest you? It’s a challenging hike, but several start points are close to the site. Away from the mountains, head down to the seafront and watch the sunset on the beautiful sandy shores of Drigg Beach.

Hike the mountains in the morning, wander the woods in the afternoon, and chill by the beach in the evening – booking a pitch at Ravenglass Club Site allows you to do all three.
