Loch Ness Shores are looking forward to welcoming you.

Scotland’s most famous loch is the stunning backdrop for the Club’s new campsite in the Scottish Highlands. The aptly-named Loch Ness Shores Club campsite is located on the quieter south shore near the village of Foyers.

This 99 pitch, all-year-round campsite enjoys panoramic views around Loch Ness to the mountains beyond and is the perfect base for exploring the area’s historic sites like the magnificent Urquhart Castle, the charming towns and villages of Fort Augustus, Cannich and Drumnadrochit, or for getting active whether it be on foot, bike or boat.

The site itself has excellent eco credentials, including using innovative green technologies to heat and light the top notch facilities which include an amenity block with under floor heating and home from home shower rooms, an on-site shop and wi-fi. Boats (suitable for fishing) and canoes are available to hire on site.

Loch Ness Shores also offers the opportunity to go glamping in one of its eight luxury wooden wigwam cabins, all boasting comfy caravan-style beds. These stylish wigwam cabins are a first for the Club Site network, with four comfortably accommodating up to five, the other four, two adults and two children.

This review is for Loch Ness Shores

We have stayed here a few times now, even for Hogmanay. The site is in a beautiful part of Scotland and is so far off the beaten track that everyone is very friendly. Superb walks, wildlife, waterfalls, forest, it's got it all.

Where to begin????? Location was awesome! In the middle of nowhere and on the banks of Loch Ness so it was unbelievably tranquil and surrounded my munros and mountains. Onsite laundry facilities were ideal, onsite airstream cafe was superb with the locally sourced Venison burgers were AMAZING!!! Not a massive amount of midges but there were some kicking about (on site shop has reasonably priced citrus candles to disperse them). Toilets and shower block were extremely clean, well looked after constantly monitored for any issues. The campsite itself is well spread, clean, tidy and secure. Drinking water, recycle stations and glass bins throughout. Gravel paths, lighted walkways and signage throughout reminding you of speed limits and where things are etc. The odd search and rescue helicopter and fighter jet going overhead was a welcome sight. The site owner, Donald, or a team member constantly do the rounds from 8am up until 11pm making sure all is well and everyone is ok amd are always available 24hrs if there are any issues. They couldnt be anymore helpful and made you feel safe and secure. All in all my family (2 young girls and fianc) had an amazing time! 10 out of 10! We'll certainly be making a return trip next year for another 7 days or possibly longer!!! Cannot thank Donald or his wife Lynn enough for there help and time throughout our stay. Such a wonderful family full of local knowledge and history. Loch Ness Shores is definitely a hidden gem of the highlands!!!

We had a party of 3 tents and a caravan there. My brother is in a wheelchair. Facilities are excellent for all of us, owners are very friendly and exceptionally helpful for example in local knowledge & with launching a large ski boat willingly using their own vehicle. Jet skis and bikes are not allowed for safety reasons & rightly so. There is a 6 metre rule between tents enforced by fire regulations and showers are warm enough without being hot because they are eco friendly thermal showers. Having swum a cross the Loch they were plenty warm enough to warm my daughter and I up. A really excellent site well worth its high review rating. If a big group recommend booking together to get pitches together and arrive early if you can to get best pitches closest to facilities. Non electric and furthest from facilities but just a short walk. We have a massive 11 mtr by 5 mtr tent & were easily and happily catered for. Owners happy to share extensive local knowledge. Fort Augustus worth a trip as is a walk up the falls of foyers and there is a walking/off road cycling map available for those wanting to go further.

Staff exceptionally helpful- lending us a tv ariel when ours wouldn't get a reception.

Staff exceptionally helpful- lending us a tv ariel when ours wouldn't get a reception. Even managed to locate a spare jocky wheel when ours got a puncture. Didn't use all facilities but were very impressed with what was on offer- den building and archery. Were delighted with the quality of food on offer in the "burger van" .It is so much more than that! We are looking forward to our next visit and don't care what the weather is like !
