The surrounding area

Our Inverewe Gardens Club campsite shares its name with the world-famous tropical Inverewe Gardens created by Osgood Mackenzie in 1862. This lush oasis perches on a peninsula at the edge of Loch Ewe surrounded by more than 2,000 acres of conservation estate.

There are plenty of walks to be enjoyed from site or cycle to Inveradale around the Loch. Further north Rubha nan Sasan, beyond Cove is home to a range of WWII command posts and gun emplacements which helped guard the entrance to Loch Ewe during the war.

Nearby Gairloch has a heritage Museum and Marine Life Centre offering daily cruises to survey dolphins, whales and seals.

We had a couple of minor problems with Betsy (our caravan) and Mike was so incredibly helpful with helping us resolve them. Christine and Mike couldn't do enough to make up stay wonderful. The weather could have been better but didn't stop us walking the lovely beaches at Garloch. The inverewe gardens were so near an easy walk from the site. Dogs are not allowed in the gardens so while I visited the gardens Adam took poppy for a good walk nearby. Mike told us about the fish/chip van that arrived Friday pm and we had a great fish supper. A good stay, will definitely return. Thank you Christine/Mike for all your help.

Beautiful wide beach just outside the entrance. Short walk to NT for Scotlands Inverewe Gardens, a must see place even for non gardeners like me. Ideally placed for people heading up towards the North Coast 500 route.

I would agree that the facilitates could probably do with being up dated but that said they were well maintained and in excellent order. I doubt that there is a more picturesque site to be found, very beautiful with a great setting. I'm not sure I would recommend this site for active young children but if like us you have moody teenage girls who spend most of their time on their phone/ipads etc you will be fine. Saying that they did enjoy Inverewe Gardens.
