Overview

A great campsite to explore Canterbury, with a bus stop outside the site entrance.

City, coast and countryside – you can take your pick if you’re basing yourself at our Canterbury Club campsite. Although a popular stopover for those travelling to or from France, this campsite offers the ideal base for exploring Kent’s coast and country.

The campsite lies a couple of miles south of the city – within walking distance (or hire a bike on site). The not so energetic can catch a bus from outside the campsite. The well laid out campsite offers a mix of level grass and hardstand pitches. There are newly refurbished toilet and shower facilities, a washing up area, children’s play area and good dog walking.

Off site Canterbury is a city packed with history, heritage and culture. It has a stunning cathedral and the ruins of St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church and castle. It also has an eclectic mix of specialist shops, independent retailers, bars and restaurants.

Head to the coast for Whitstable with its trendy harbour and July Oyster Festival. The more traditional Herne-Bay has two miles of seafront adorned with colourful beach huts and a pier. The quaint Victorian town of Broadstairs with its Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides is a contrast to the more cosmopolitan habour side Ramsgate noted for its pavement cafes and waterside bars.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

I would like to say a big thank you to Darren,Nicky and team. We had five nights at the site this easter and I could not of asked for better,as a family of 6 we were warmly welcomed to the site, told or shown where all the relevent amenities were.Having 3 disabled members of my family it is always a worry going somewhere new but I can honestly say I had no need to worry, the disabled shower room had everything I could possibly need for my husband and two children. Also the way that all staff members were with my children was fantastic, welcoming and nothing was to much trouble, even to talking to my children if they saw them round the site and for my daughter and son who have learning difficulties this made their day, just them giving that five mins of their time. All the facilities are well kept and extremly clean as is the rest of the site. Not very far from the town of Canterbury, and wingham wildlife park which was a great day out. Thanks again for a brilliant stay

A great site with lovely friendly staff who laid on an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday for the children on site. Shower/toilet blocks modern and clean. The site has good arrangements with local takeaways to deliver to the front gate and a fish and chip van visits the site twice a week which was very popular. We liked that we could walk into Canterbury City centre in around 20 minutes, although there is also a good bus service. Overall, we will be back !
