    Top site for beaches

Explore the beauty of England's south coast from our campsite.

With cycling and walking trails in abundance, miles of sandy beaches, bustling towns, pretty chocolate box villages and a host of family attractions within a short distance our Chichester Club Campsite offers something for everyone.

Chichester is a small, welcoming campsite. Once an orchard it has a relaxing ambience and is an ideal setting for kicking back and relaxing after a hectic day exploring the area.

Head across the road on foot or two wheels to enjoy the paths to the coast and Chichester harbour. Or catch a bus from outside the site to Chichester (great for shopping), Bognor, Littlehampton and Brighton in one direction and Southampton and Portsmouth (with the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard) in the other.

For a bucket and space day head to the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering where you’ll find sand dunes, sheltered waters and acres of space. East Head and Selsey too are great for lazy beach days.

Worth Noting

Electric security barriers in operation. Please note there is no parking for visitors and, because of the narrow entrance road, there are no overnight parking facilities.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Chichester hosts a farmers' market twice a month. Southbourne farm shop near to site sells a range of local products and the Tupenny Barn sells organic fruit and vegetables.

Friendly/helpful wardens.

This review is for Chichester

Friendly/helpful wardens. Easy access by frequent buses to local towns including Chichester & Portsmouth. No motorhome service point, limited water & waste disposal points. Site/shape of site (+ trees) mean most pitches are very compact. Lack of open space or play areas plus limited pitch sizes means probably not suitable for families with young children.

This is a former orchard and the trees on site still bear fruit. (apples n pears) Worth remembering not to pitch or park under them as the fruit falls especially when windy or near to autumn. Great transport links up and down the south coast from Southbourne Railway Station 10 minutes walk from the site. Went to Portsmouth several times to enjoy the Historical Dockyard.

The site is in an ex orchard and is very sited to tour the various seaside venues along the south coast. We stayed for five nights in our tent with our two Scotties. On our arrival our pitch was quite wet and muddy due to a rainfall that morning. This did not hinder us in any way. The facilities were kept very clean and the staff were very helpful. I did notice that it did get busy over the weekend and the 6mtr rule was relaxed in a few places on site. All in all though my wife and I left feeling 'what a great site' 'what a lovely break' and we have to do this again soon. What more can you want, thank you very much Chichester, wuff wuff from the dogs and roll on September when we go to Normans Bay.
