Overview

    Top site for beaches

Explore the beauty of England's south coast from our campsite.

With cycling and walking trails in abundance, miles of sandy beaches, bustling towns, pretty chocolate box villages and a host of family attractions within a short distance our Chichester Club Campsite offers something for everyone.

Chichester is a small, welcoming campsite. Once an orchard it has a relaxing ambience and is an ideal setting for kicking back and relaxing after a hectic day exploring the area.

Head across the road on foot or two wheels to enjoy the paths to the coast and Chichester harbour. Or catch a bus from outside the site to Chichester (great for shopping), Bognor, Littlehampton and Brighton in one direction and Southampton and Portsmouth (with the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard) in the other.

For a bucket and space day head to the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering where you’ll find sand dunes, sheltered waters and acres of space. East Head and Selsey too are great for lazy beach days.

Worth Noting

Electric security barriers in operation. Please note there is no parking for visitors and, because of the narrow entrance road, there are no overnight parking facilities.

WiFi

Eat Local

Chichester hosts a farmers' market twice a month. Southbourne farm shop near to site sells a range of local products and the Tupenny Barn sells organic fruit and vegetables.

The site, although next to a busy road, was peacefull and clean. The wardens were happy to help us find the right shop to aquire a spare part for the brake lights. Our oldtimer converted vehicle (Magirus Deutz fire truck) was fully accepted by the wardens and the other guests. I am pretty sure that our Temporary Overseas Membership was a good investment in a relaxing holyday in England. Hope we can move that way the rest of our time in England.

This site has a very good bus routes going to Chichester, Littlehampton or Portsmouth. We really enjoyed seeing HMS Victory in Portsmouth and eating at the Chinese buffet near the Spineka. We drove to Arundel Castle where the gardens are beautiful and the interior of the castle really worth a visit. So much to do around here. Only 10 minutes from the train station too for Brighton. A very enjoyable week.

Motorhome users should remember that the site has no facilities for dumping grey waste other than a bucket or other receptacle. Located close to the Sussex village of Southbourne the site has good bus connections to the local cities of Chichester and Portsmouth. Within easy walking distance can be found a very nice pub offering food and local ales and for those who like a little more exercise, or perhaps dog owners, a short walk will bring you to the coast with fine views across Chichester Harbour to Thorney Island. This site must be very handy for those catching the ferries to France from Portsmouth, only 10 miles away.
