Our family (2 adults and 4 children) have stayed at Roundhill over the last 9 years but that was our last I'm sorry to say. Beautiful scenery and setting but the people that stay there tend to be very loud and disrespectful to others. Many children are clearly left to the their own devices and happily upset other campers. Even our children were amazed at the actions of other children on the site and said they didn't want to stay here anymore. If you are happy to endure loud music (oh and the rangers don't seem to mind this), children running through your small area causing chaos (during the night as well - how wonderful...)then this is your campsite. Not for us anymore - it used to be a lovely place to come to but us as a family have noticed the downhill turn over the last three years. What a shame. Ashurst is definitely the better option as they seem to care there and soon put a stop to any annoyance going on. Far cleaner too.

7th,8th June. Have just got back from a fantastic weekend on the rally field with a party of 18 tents (41 adults & children). Louise and her staff where excellent, very helpful before hand when booking and the weekend itself, massive site with lots of different areas to suit all different types of campers, everyone enjoyed the weekend that much we are planning to do it all again in August normally at other sites in the new forest we have only done it once that year & never repeated the same site but now we will go back to roundball every year!

We've been staying at Roundhill since I can remember, I'm now 31. We stay here every year without fail. My partner and I love this site. Its beautiful, peaceful and tranquil, if you pick the right time of year! If you want to experience the quiet, don't come on a bank holiday weekend! We've never had a real problem with noisy campers, and to be honest, it adds the atmosphere and freedom you get staying at a forest campsite. Although the price is very high now (I remember when it was about £5 per night!) you still get a great break. And to be honest, the toilet blocks are not that bad, what do you expect in the middle of a forest and an AONB, at least they have showers now!!! We love Roundhill and will continue to use it for many many years....
