
Day 1
Arrive on site near Regensburg and meet your fellow tourers and Club Tour Escorts. Enjoy a traditional three-course Bavarian meal and drink in the evening.
2 nights at Pielenhofen campsite.
Day 2
Mid-morning there will be a coach to take you into Bavaria's first capital Regensburg, for those who wish to visit and discover its UNESCO designated architectural heritage. The coach will return to site in the afternoon. Or alternatively, you may prefer to enjoy some walking or cycling routes from the site.
Day 3
Leave the site and travel to Krün enjoying the beautiful Bavarian scenery en route (150 miles). There will be a welcome drink in the late afternoon and a three-course evening meal in the campsite restaurant.
4 nights at Krün campsite
Day 4
Today, a coach will take you through some spectacular alpine scenery to the famed castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. A short hike promises a postcard view of the superlative schloss Neuschwanstein, seen in many films such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Great Escape. You’ll visit the far less showy but much more authentic Schloss Hohenschwangau.
Day 5
A day at leisure to relax and enjoy this beautiful region. There is no shortage of walking routes and lakes to discover and the campsite staff will be more than happy to recommend places to visit.
Day 6
Today there will be a coach excursion to Innsbruck which is the capital of the Tirol region of Austria. The beautiful city architecture, set against the stunning backdrop of the Alps, is a delight to discover with your city guide, with free time to wander at your leisure.
Day 7
Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the campsite before you depart and travel to the next campsite in Austria (60 miles) which is set next to a beautiful lake. You may like to stop in Innsbruck for lunch or visit the glistening Swarovski Crystal Worlds museum, which is also on the way.
There will be a three-course evening welcome meal and a drink in the site restaurant where you can enjoy some Austrian hospitality.
5 nights at Kramsach campsite.
Day 8
Day at leisure. You can use your Alpbachtal Seenland card to hop on some of the mountain lifts, or visit the local bathing lakes and swimming pools.
Day 9
A short, organised walk from the site to the nearby Farming Museum, which is the largest open-air museum in Tirol. Here you can visit 14 farmhouses housing the mill, chapel and the blacksmith and see the ducks, geese and chickens who reside on the farm.
Day 10
A day at leisure to do what you wish or you could join an organised stroll to see the local glassblowers at work, followed by apple strudel and coffee at a local café (payable locally).
Day 11
A day at leisure to make the most of your Alpbachtal Seenland card. In the evening the campsite host their famous ‘crispy ribs’ evening where you can sample some home-cooked barbecue ribs (payable locally).
Day 12
Travel to the next site in Austria (66 miles) which boasts another excellent location and top class site facilities. There will be an evening three-course meal and a drink in the site restaurant where the campsite owner will tell you all about the region.
6 nights at campsite near Zell am See
Day 13
Enjoy a unique experience this morning with a yodel workshop on site. Learn the history and techniques of this traditional singing with a local expert and gain your yodel diploma! Afternoon is at leisure.
Day 14
A day at leisure to explore the area - why not take a trip to nearby Lake Zell, Salzburg by train or relax on site.
Day 15
Today there will be a coach trip from the campsite to the nearby Grossglockner High Alpine Road which takes you steadily up the highest mountain in Austria. Take your camera to capture the views as you journey 2,504 metres above the Adriatic and pack some warm clothes ready for the cooler temperatures at the top!
Day 16
Enjoy a day at leisure.
Day 17
A coach excursion to visit the Krimml waterfalls ,which are the highest in Europe with an impressive drop of 380 metres - this is nature at its finest! It's possible to take a taxi up and walk back down (payable locally).
Day 18
Travel to Slovenia (144 miles) to the final campsite in an unbeatable location on the shores of Lake Bled
7 nights at Bled campsite.
Day 19
A coach excursion to Slovenia's capital Ljubljana - see the main sights of this pretty city including the castle in the heart of the city from where you can enjoy the views. Soak up the café culture, architecture and friendly atmosphere.
Day 20
A day at leisure for you to start exploring this beautiful region - be sure to visit Bled Castle and the Vintgar Gorge.
Day 21
A scenic guided coach excursion to visit the stunning Julian Alps which stretch from North East Italy to here in Slovenia. Highlights are a stop at Predil Lake and lunch (included) in the pretty mountain town of Bovec.
Day 22
Enjoy another day at leisure. Why not take the local train around the shores of Lake Bled or row out to the island? For the more adventurous make the most of the pre-programmed GPS electric bikes for hire on the site or the toboggan slide at Straža (payable locally).
Day 23
A coach excursion to visit the Postonja caves, where the double track railway and vast array of stalactites and stalagmites make for a fascinating visit. You will also visit nearby Predjama castle which is over 700 years old and perched high up on a cliff face.
Day 24
Enjoy a final day at leisure. In the evening you can live the high life as you enjoy a farewell meal and drink at a renowned hotel for an evening to remember. Return to the campsite by coach.
Day 25
End of tour arrangements. Your Tour Specialist can book extra nights if you wish to extend your stay or recommend and book other sites for your return journey.
