Welcoming visitors all year round Paxton Pits Nature Reserve is made up of a number of lakes, meadows and woodland. All of which are rich in wildlife and include guided, accessible trails. After exploring the surrounding areas and the beautiful wildlife that comes with it, there's also a great visitors centre offering a variety of snacks and a place to rest your legs for a moment! The friendly visitor centre provides tea, coffee and ice-creams in the summer months! 

When walking around the Nature Reserves, you will come across guided trails and maps at key points. Not only this, you can also bring your four-legged friend on a trip! 

In both 2018 and 2020, Paxton Pits Nature Reserve was given a Green Flag Award. The Nature Reserve is open every day and parking is available and free! As for the visitor centre, this is open six days a week.
