Swanage - Central

Swanage Central Beach is located in the town of Swanage on the Dorset coast and has become extremely popular amongst families.

This is a safe, friendly, and attractive beach that offers a variety of facilities and amenities for visitors to benefit from. It also offers access to plenty of natural beauty and picturesque scenery for visitors to take in.

While there is no lifeguard onsite at this beach, the water quality here is very good and the beach has both a Blue Flag Award and a Quality Coast Award. In addition to this it is recommended by the Marine Conservation Society.

The beach is cleaned on a daily basis and while dogs are allowed at certain times of the year they are banned between May and September. In terms of facilities Central Beach has plenty to offer.

There are toilets including those with disables facilities, first aid facilities, a variety of cafes and restaurants, and a lost child centre.

There is also a delightful promenade, which leads down to the beach. Those who enjoy outdoor activities will not be short of things to do at this beach, with a range of options such as sailing, swimming, diving, canoeing, fishing, bowling, and crazy golf.
