St Margaret`s Bay

Situated in Dover, Kent, St Margaret`s Bay is a small shingle beach that is flanked by towering chalk cliffs and offers a relaxing place to enjoy some fun and outdoor recreation. Many residents and visitors flock here in the summer to enjoy a range of activities or simply to relax on the beach and enjoy the views. While it is not all that easy to reach the beach by public transport, there are chargeable car parking facilities here, so you can drive your own vehicle and park up for a fee. The beach does allow dogs and provides litter bins to help dog owners keep the beach clean. The beach is cleaned regularly and is recommended by the Marine Conservation Society. The water quality at this beach is excellent although it should be noted that there is no lifeguard onsite. This is a popular spot for swimming and fishing as well as for simply relaxing and taking in the views. There are a number of rock pools in the vicinity too. If you want to enjoy a relaxing day out with access to a range of water based activities in a popular and attractive beach destination, this is an excellent choice.
