Welcome Spring back in May with the traditional wacky Muncaster Festival! 

Soak up the atmosphere on the Castle front lawn. There is fun for all! Get stuck in with circus skill workshops, street entertainers, face painting, storytelling, archery, chainsaw carving, visit characters from history and much more!

Don’t forget to catch the International Jesters Tournament held on the final day. Watch acts from around the world battle it out to see who can make you laugh the most! See who will claim the prestigious title of the ‘Fool of Muncaster’.  Don’t forget the two amazing flying displays from the Hawk & Owl Centre – World of Owls at 11.30am and Sky Hunters at 2pm.

From the South: Leave the M6 at Junction 36. Follow signs to Barrow (A590). Before reaching Barrow turn right at Greenodd onto the A5092 (signposted Western Lake District, Workington and Whitehaven). This joins the A595 which will bring you to Muncaster.
