The Camping and Caravanning Club’s European Travel Service has released a new brochure that showcases the best destinations and provides inspiration for holidaymakers keen to book low-cost winter sun camping with the Club. And it includes two new winter rallies in Spain.

The 120-page brochure, Winter Sun Camping 2017/18, includes listings for campsites and rallies in Spain and Portugal, plus recommended campsites en route in Spain, France and Portugal. In total, there are 18 Winter Sun destinations, in locations ranging from busy coastal spots such as Albufeira and Benidorm to quieter areas like Monmar on the Costa del Azahar. There are also 11 Club Rally locations, including the ever-popular Marjal Costa Blanca Club Rally near Alicante.

With 80m2 pitches available from £8.05 per night based on two adults sharing, including an electric hook-up, overwintering in Spain and Portugal remains cost-effective.

New for 2017/18 is a two-month rally at Tauro campsite in Benicàssim. This small site has received praise by Club members for the warm welcome offered by the family that owns the site and the quality of recent on-site upgrades. Also new is a three-month rally at Camping Alicante Imperium in Villajoyosa, a brand new site in 2016, located in a lovely, traditional Spanish resort just seven miles by tram from Benidorm. The La Manga rally will also mark its 20th anniversary this year, with a celebration party for ralliers on 3 November.

Richard Grimsdale, Club Travel Services Director, said: “Our Winter Sun programme continues to prove very popular with Club members who are looking to venture south for some low-cost sunshine.

“Members book stays for anything from a few days to perhaps three months or even longer, choosing to stay with others at a Club rally or go it alone on one of our 18 recommended campsites. Either way, the Club’s Travel Specialists can help at each stage of booking.”

The brochure is full of practical information on overwintering on the continent and costs £10. The cost of the brochure is refunded on booking with the Club’s Travel Service. Holidays can be booked for just a few days, a few weeks, or a few months.
