New Senior Communcations Manager for The Camping and Caravanning Club

The Camping and Caravanning Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Ganley as its new Senior Communications Manager.

Rob will leave his position as Group Editor for Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan titles and take up the post on 16 June to oversee the running of the Club’s Communications & Events Department.

This isn’t the first time Rob has worked for the Club having initially joined as a reporter for its award-winning magazine Camping & Caravanning back in 1999 under the supervision of past Editor, Peter Frost.

Rob left in 2000 and has since gained a wealth of industry knowledge and experience working for the highly-regarded Haymarket Media Group.

Rob started as a Staff Writer for Practical Caravan and went on to work across a number of contract titles, including the UEFA Champions magazine and the match-day programmes for Manchester United and England.

He became Practical Motorhome Editor in 2007 before becoming Group Editor of the Caravan Group in 2012. In that time, he’s overseen the development of both brands in print and online, and managed Haymarket’s involvement as co-producers of two television shows, The Caravan Channel and The Motorhome Channel.

Rob is looking forward to the new challenge and he said: “It’s thrilling to join the Club at such an exciting time. It has an outstanding reputation in the outdoor industry, and the recent appointment of Julia Bradbury as President was inspired. Her youth and energy are the perfect addition to its world-renowned heritage.

“I’ve loved my time with Haymarket’s Practical titles, but now I’m looking forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead. I can’t wait to lead the Club's Communications and Events Department and I’m bursting with campaign ideas to help drive things forward.”
