The Camping and Caravanning’s Club’s iPad edition of its monthly magazine Camping & Caravanning has received national recognition and been Highly Commended in the 2014 Digital Magazine Awards.

Camping & Caravanning received the award at a ceremony in London where its recently launched iPad edition was runner-up to eventual winner, the National Geographic Traveller magazine in the travel category.

The Camping & Caravanning iPad edition offers an interactive experience with user-friendly navigation, videos, picture galleries and more. Once downloaded to a device, it can be browsed without the use of a mobile network or Wi-Fi.

The iPad edition is available to members for £4.99 per year or 69p per issue and can be downloaded from the Apple Store or via Camping & Caravanning’s website:

Camping & Caravanning Editor, Simon McGrath, said: “This award is testament to the hard work and commitment we have put in to bringing Camping & Caravanning to an audience of tablet device users. We’ll use it as springboard to further develop our digital content.”

And the good news continues as Camping & Caravanning was also shortlisted in the Membership Magazine of the Year category at the PPA Independent Publisher Conference & Awards.

Camping and Caravanning was entered into the awards in its entirety; the brand currently publishes content in print, online and in tablet format.

McGrath added: “We were delighted to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award. As a publication we strive to offer content across a large range of platforms and we hope to continue to build upon our success in 2015.”

Camping & Caravanning magazine is The Camping and Caravanning Club’s official publication and is the oldest title in the world for all forms of camping.
