Camping & Caravanning Magazine Wins MemCom Award

Camping & Caravanning magazine has been recognised at the 2012 MemCom Awards, winning the Magazine - Sport and Recreation category.

The awards presentation was held at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall, London on Thursday, May 17.

MemCom’s Marketing and Communication Awards are for Membership Organisations and highlight best practice.

The citation stated: “The judges felt that the feature-led approach driven via campaigns and member research made this magazine shine.

“Content is written from a position of authority, expertise and clarity and its clear focus on positivity and happy faces brings the camping and caravanning experience to life throughout its pages.”

Camping & Caravanning is The Camping and Caravanning Club’s monthly magazine and is the world’s longest established and largest circulation monthly magazine for all forms of camping.

Editor Simon McGrath said: “We’re really pleased to win the award as it recognises the hard work and dedication put in by The Camping and Caravanning Club’s magazine team.

“The judges picked-up on a number of key elements that we’ve been focusing upon – such as an authoritative voice, engaging editorial and high production values – which makes winning the award all the more rewarding.”
