Tour de Forest

Tour de Forest

Are you inspired by the Tour de France? If so, Forest Holidays’ ‘Tour de Forest’ is the perfect activity to fuel that enthusiasm.

Our expert Forest Rangers will guide campers around the spectacular cycling trails of the New Forest, providing a unique opportunity to view the forest and its inhabitants up close whilst on the move.

Campers will have the exciting opportunity to spot plenty of flora and fauna, possibly even fallow and roe deer and explore ancient woodlands.

The tour lasts for approximately three hours and is available on two Forest Holidays Touring Sites including; Hollands Wood and Roundhill

Alan Gibson, the Club’s General Manager of Franchising Ltd and Forest Holidays, is enthusiastic about the new addition to the Forest Ranger programme and said: “Our ‘Tour de Forest’ guided tour provides campers with the perfect opportunity to explore the idyllic Forestry Commission land.

“We are continuously looking for new ways to engage children and adults alike and we are certain this new experience will be a popular addition to our Forest Ranger schedule.

“Our sites are located in beautifully secluded areas of the New Forest – the perfect setting for a family holiday.”

Bike hire can be arranged through Forest Holidays’ preferred local supplier - costs include cycle helmets and padlocks. Accessories such as child seats and tag-a-longs are also available.

Adult with their own bike: £12

To take part in the tour, participants must be eight-years-old and over.
