Camping Club Youth Rallies

Rallies are a great way to show off your camping skills and meet new people from across the country and even the world. As a member of Camping Club Youth, you will have the opportunity to attend the National Youth Rally, the Autumn Youth Rally and (provided you have completed your National Youth Test and are over the age of 14), the International Youth Rally. Each rally welcomes people from all over, whether you are a new member or a veteran, everyone is welcome.

National Youth Rally

National CCYOur National Youth Rally is the highlight of the year, a place where members from different regions come together to compete for the infamous Austin Trophy. It’s hosted by a different region every year, so whether you want to show off your incredible sporting skills, dance the night away at the evening disco or just catch up with your friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s National Youth Rally is on 3rd–5th July, hosted by Cambrian & Wyvern Region: this is not one to be missed. The theme is Jungle Fever, so pack your hiking boots and your bug spray and get ready to channel your inner wild side as they take you through the wilderness for a weekend of exciting games and tropical challenges.

Take on the ultimate challenge and compete for your Region in a series of races! The Region with the most points will be crowned champions and awarded the Austin Trophy, but who will it be this year?

International Youth Rally

The International Youth Rally is one of the most exciting events of the year for Camping Club Youth. It’s a chance to meet up with friends from across the globe and is held in a different country every year.

The 2021 FICC International Rally will be hosted by our Club, operated by Scottish Region, giving us a chance to show campers from across the globe what we have to offer.

To be able to attend the International Youth Rally you must have passed your National Youth Test and be over the age of 14. If you think this is something that you would like to get involved in, but have not yet taken your test, find out more about how to do this. If you have taken your test, speak to your Regional Youth Liaison Officer.

Meets

There are two types of regular meets that you can get involved in, DA/Section Meets and Youth Meets. These meets are a temporary campsite run by volunteers and can last up to five days.

DA/Section Meets

Meets are organised by Club members for Club members and are often in out of the way locations where you wouldn’t find a formal campsite. Sometimes, they’ll even have a dedicated Youth Area, so you can camp separately from your parents at the same Meets.

Youth Meets

These Meets are organised by your Youth Leaders and Regional Youth Liaison Officers and are exclusive to you, our CCY members. They’re a great way to find lots of people with the same interests as you, camp with freedom alongside some of your best mates, show off your elite camping ability and simply have fun doing what you love.

Winter Meet CCYSki Meet

Here’s a bonus one for you: The Winter Ski Meet, a get together of CCY members to explore the wonders of the beautiful Scottish mountains. Every winter, Regions come together to visit Glenshee Ski Resort to tackle the infamous Tiger, one of Europe’s most challenging black runs. But if taking it slow is more your thing, there are plenty of runs to suit your needs, from learning slopes and intermediate blue runs, to a freestyler’s paradise, Glenshee has the largest Ski and Snowboard area in Scotland.

If you would like to find out more about any of our DA/Section or Youth Meets, then please contact your Youth Leader or Regional Youth Liaison Officer.
