The DofE and the Club

Just three years ago, the Club was awarded a licence to operate the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme via our Camping Club Youth setup. It began as a pilot project, allowing the Club to find its feet since it was offering the opportunity for the first time.
Interest is certainly building and recently it was decided that anyone aged between 12-17 (and occasionally older) with an active Club membership can apply to undertake their DofE Award with the Club, opening it up to many more potential applicants. Earlier this year the Club was proud to have its first Gold Award recipient.
