Walk the John Muir Way

The John Muir Way was opened in April 2014 to mark the centenary of the Scottish-American naturalist’s death and the Commonwealth Games being staged in Glasgow. Scottish Natural Heritage had to work with nine local authorities, the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and other relevant bodies in order to create this iconic route which runs from coast to coast and symbolically connects Scotland’s first national park (Loch Lomond the Trossachs) in the east with Helensbrugh in the west.
