For a first attempt at making an SUV, Seat can quite rightly consider itself pretty proud. Okay, so behind the Spanish marque lies the veritable goldmine of experience and techy know-how of the Volkswagen Group, but the Seat Ateca is still a hugely impressive car, especially considering entry-level prices are sub-£20k. That’s not something you’ll find with any of its German counterparts, such as the VW Tiguan or Audi Q2. Since it’s launch at the end of 2016 the Ateca has been lauded as a serious contender in the crossover market, tackling the likes of the Nissan Qashqai and Renault Kadjar head-on.
