Big and imposing is one way to describe the Emperor and though the footprint sits comfortably within our normal Club pitch size, with it towering at 3m high it certainly has on-site presence. It has to be said there is an awful lot of cotton canvas for the money here and on the face of it, it’s very good value. However, with such substantial tents pitching can be a challenge. Quest’s information suggests it can be pitched solo but it’s easier and quicker with two. I wouldn’t fancy handling this tent on my own, as if a gust picks up it could get quickly unmanageable. But with two people and a little practice it could be whittled down to about 15-20 minutes.
