Travelworld supports member’s ultra-marathon
A Club Preferred Dealer has helped support a Club member’s ultra-marathon charity effort by supplying him with a motorhome to use on a 95-mile race.
Travelworld loaned a Carado T447 motorhome to 62-year-old Keith Robins (pictured far left)
from Staffordshire as he took on the West Highland Way Race, raising money for Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikes. The race didn’t go entirely to plan for Keith as he fell at around 20 miles and sustained an injury. He managed to battle his way to the 71-mile mark before having to withdraw, but still raised more than £1,000 for the Blood Bikes charity.
Keith said: “Having the motorhome on the trip was a big advantage, entirely suited to the wide open spaces of the Scottish Highlands, which the race passes through. We stowed a bike (the Carado comes with a 2-bike rack) but there was masses of room for the kit bags and boxes too, and the Carado is like a tardis for storage with plenty under the fixed beds and in the various wall cupboards.”
Travelworld’s Managing Director Ross Edwards added: “It was a pleasure to help Keith and his crew, and we’re glad the Carado did such a sterling job in helping him raise money for Blood Bikes.”
Travelworld is an Erwin Hymer Group dealer, specialising in the supply of brands such as Hymer, Carado, Niesmann + Bischoff and HymerCar.
