Lunar Caravans is set to support Adam Morgan and the Ciceley Motorsport Team in the 2018 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in September.
The Lancashire-based company's support will extend to other British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) events throughout the year. The new partnership was inspired by the availability of on-site campsite facilities at many of the nation’s best racing tracks that are visited by thousands of BTCC followers.
Lea Lawrence, Marketing Manager for Lunar Caravans, said: “It is exciting to be embarking on a new partnership in the thrilling world of motorsport. As a fellow Lancashire-based business, Ciceley Motorsport’s passion and professionalism for the sport is inspiring.”
The BTCC is one of the world’s best-loved motor racing championships, designed exclusively for two-litre cars and featuring a host of manufacturers from Alfa Romeo to Volvo. Recent events have attracted track-side audiences of 384,500 annually, a TV audience of more than 17 million and an unprecedented social media following. This year is particularly significant, as the BTCC celebrates its 60th anniversary.
Lea Lawrence added: “Leisure vehicles play an important role in the BTCC championships, both for the teams and the fans. We believe our partnership with Ciceley will energise our brand within the sport and help drive our ambitious growth plans.”
Norman Burgess, Commercial Director Ciceley Motorsport, said: “Lunar Caravans is an innovative, forward-thinking company and as a Lancastrian-based family concern their high standards and engineering capabilities align perfectly with ours. We can’t wait to begin working together.”
