Lunar and Wellhouse Leisure unveiled is first VW collaboration at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show this week.
The new Lunar VW Caledonia is based on a VW SWB T30 Transporter Highline with 102bhp engine as standard, with the option to upgrade to either a 150bhp or 204bhp varient and will set you back just under £51K on the road.
At 4.9m long and 1.9m wide, this five seater camper offers manoeuvrability combined with comfy living accommodation with ample storage and useful features you would expect from a Wellhouse conversion.
The driver's cab features swivel seats while the rear bench seat with three seat belts switches from day to night living providing sleeping space for two. The elevating roof houses an optional roof bed for up to two people.
The Caledonia's portable toilet, fresh and waste water tank, gas locker and gas bottle, 85Amp leisure battery and 100w solar panel will appeal to off grid campers.
Lunar is also offering an automatic 7-speed gear-box, metallic paint and VW satellite navigation system as optional extras.
Lunar also showcased another first – the Roadstar SB – the company's first fiat-based motorhome. This four-berth addition to the Roadstar range is offered on a 2.3cc (130bhp) Fiat Ducato and boasts an end washroom with a very substancial shower cubicle, mid bedroom with two fixed single beds and a front double. All for an on the road price tag of just under £65K.
