Charity chosen for NFOL 2018
Alzheimer’s Society has been chosen as the official Chairman’s Charity for the National Feast of Lanterns (NFOL) 2018, which is set to take place at Arley Hall in Cheshire.
The charity works to support families who are going through dementia with one of their loved ones and funds scientific work and research aiming to find a cure and better treatment for the condition.
NFOL 2018 Chairman, Tracey French, said: “It is likely that nearly everyone will know someone who has been affected by dementia. Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity and provides expert information, training, support and services to those who need help. It is also helping to create a more ‘dementia-friendly’ society, so people with the condition can live without fear or prejudice.”
The NFOL takes place from 23 to 27 August this year – see www.nfol.co.uk to find out more or see to the booking form on page 87 of February's Camping & Caravanning.
