100 years of the caravan competition
The Club is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the caravan with a competition.
For one lucky competition entrant there's the chance to win a caravan and awning combination worth more than £26,000.
The first ever caravan built on a commercial scale was an Eccles in 1919, and 100 years on entrants could win the modern version, a Swift Eccles 560 complete with Lux Pack and Vango Vienna 400 awning in the online competition on the Club website. Closing date is 8 November 2019.
The Club’s Director General Robert Louden said: “2019 is the year of the caravan and the Club is heading up the celebrations with this competition. In the hundred years since the first caravan as we know it today entered commercial production, hundreds of thousands of caravans have rolled off the lines and given millions of people wonderful memories to last a lifetime.”
