1. Turkey Winter One Pot
A lovely warming winter dish using fresh turkey breast but equally delicious using cooked turkey left over from the big day!
The addition of spices gives this dish a real Christmassy feel. A little splash of sloe gin (optional) gives a cheeky little Christmas kick.

2. Venison with Dauphinoise and honey and thyme carrots
This is Ali's wintery, festive field dinner all done on the barbecue
3. Turkey 'au Van' cooked with carrots and shallots
This is the full festive experience.
Bringing together all the elements of a traditional Christmas dinner, this Turkey 'au Van' cooks the bird and vegetables in a wondefully festive boozy gravy. Serve it with fluffy potato and parsnip mash and my tasty little sausage and cranberry dumplings. And crackers - of course.

4. Stuffed butternut squash
Don't restrict this to vegetarians. It is utterly delicious and with the pecans and cranberries it feels like a special occasion meal.
I've allowed one butternut squash per person. Scale up or down according to how many servings you require. If you aren't a fan of goat's cheese, change it for a blue cheese and use walnuts rather than pecans.

5. Warm Clementines in a Salted Caramel Sauce
This is a super-simple yet impressive dessert with lots of Christmas flavours.
The clementines are warmed in the sweet caramel sauce, the tartness of the cranberries cut through the sweetness and the boozy undertones add a punch of festive spirit.
