Outwell 2019 tent preview
Outwell has announced a raft of changes to its tent line-up for 2019.
The Danish manufacturer, part of Oase Outdoors, says more than 50 per cent of its tent range is either new or significantly refreshed for next year.
We visited Oase Outdoors’ base near Billund to find out more about what’s coming up, and there’s more on this in the video below.
One of the highlights was the Aero Yurt, a striking new eight-person polycotton tent from Oase’s Robens brand, which despite weighing in at just under 30kg, looks like the real deal for anyone who loves the thought of being able to bring a little glamping style to their camping.
Around the Outwell range, the talking point was the new Panorama front openings to many of the tents. The system enables the doors to be fully rolled to one side to completely open up the tents in an effort to bring the occupants closer to nature.
There’s also new and stylish-looking tweaks to the tent designs, with contrasting two-tone fabrics and bright piping used to bring the aesthetics right up to date.
There have also been updates in Oase’s entry-level range of Easy Camp tents, including the Pavonis 400, featured in our video, which is a four-berth tent with a half-fly design and weighs a manageable 6.4kg. At only £150, it could prove popular for those looking to buy an affordable tent for quick summer breaks.
There was lots more to see, so we’ve only been able to scratch the surface of what’s new, but keep an eye on the magazine and here on the website for reviews of some of Oase Outdoors’ tents next year.
