Luxembourg is a beautiful small country that is very family orientated, so you will find the people friendly and the scenery breath-taking. Even Luxembourg City is small in comparison to most country capitals.
The official Languages of Luxembourg are French and German as well as native Luxembourgish.

Some people will speak English but as this isn’t widely spoken we recommend investing in a phrase book to help you to get by during your stay.
The currency of Luxembourg is the Euro.
Monday to Friday: 0830hrs – 1200hrs and 1330hrs – 1630hrs or 1800hrs
Saturday: 0900hrs – 1200hrs (some banks only)
Bank are closed on national holidays.
Credit Cards & ATM
The major credit cards (Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club and Visa) are widely accepted by shops, hotels, restaurants and petrol stations. However, some shops do not accept payment by card for small sums – a minimum spend of €10-25 is required.
There are cash dispenser machines (ATMs) throughout the country which accept some debit and credit cards.
Travellers' cheques can usually be exchanged at most major banks. Cheques in US Dollars, Pounds Sterling or Euros are preferable.
