Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite.

Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

Stayed 5 nights at Easter with family.

This review is for Wolverley

Stayed 5 nights at Easter with family. The toilets and showers are some of the best well kept we have every been in. Absolutely spotless. Lovely and warm with loads of hot water. Had a few games of table tennis in the games room. There was a lot of work being done on laying paths and levelling pitches. Will look good. Lovely pub on the canal within walking distance plus many pubs in the area serving excellent food. Lots of things to see and do all easy to get to like The Black Country Living Museum and The Dudley Canal or The Think Tank in Birmingham or Hartlebury Castle. Could visit again as so much to do. Would have liked recycling bins.

Friendly and approachable site staff. Nice canal towpath walks and running routes nearby.

Friendly and approachable site staff. Nice canal towpath walks and running routes nearby. Very disappointed with irresponsible dog owners allowing pets to defecate at awning entrance, not picking it up or utilising the dog walking area. We would return again if a recycling system was implemented.

We stayed 2 nights in March, the welcome was brilliant.

We stayed 2 nights in March, the welcome was brilliant. The site itself is immaculate, even though there is work going on parts of the site. Very quiet and peaceful, plenty of space between each pitch. A lot of space for dog walking. The shower blocks are clean warm and very well maintained. There is an excellent pub 50 yards away situated on the canal. The food and service is very very good. Cannot recommend this site enough.
