A lovely campsite located on a canal with a number of attractions nearby.

Our Devizes Club campsite is a lovely quiet and secluded retreat by the side of the Avon and Kennet Canal in the heart of Wiltshire. The surrounding countryside, ideal for walkers and cyclists, is where you’ll find some of the UK’s most significant prehistoric sites including the iconic Stonehenge and Avebury Stone circle.

This well-kept, tree-lined campsite provides 100 pitches, some lined by hedging to give a more private feel. In addition to the amenity blocks, campers can expect a children’s play area and playing field and a large dog field.

You can walk or cycle into Devizes from the campsite via the spectacular Caen Hill flight of 29 locks or catch a bus from the stop a five minute walk from site. Buses also operate to Melksham, Bath and Bristol from here.

This bustling historic town has weekly general and collectors' markets and a regular farmers' market. Wadworth's Brewery is here. See its famous shire horses make deliveries in town. Sample the ales at the visitor centre where tours of the brewery and stables can be booked. Also in the town is the Wiltshire Heritage Museum where you'll find Britain’s best Bronze Age archaeology collections. The Kennet and Avon Canal Trust Museum alongside the canal is where you’ll discover the fascinating story of this delightful waterway.

Further afield Longleat and its 900 acres of parkland is a great family day out.

This site has a number of great cycle routes nearby. Why not join the Avon Tow Path towards Bradford on Avon, 12 miles away?  Alternatively hire a bike in Bradford on Avon to cycle into Bath to enjoy the spa town and all it has to offer.

This was our first and definitely not last visit. What a brilliant site.

This was our first and definitely not last visit. What a brilliant site. Great walk for the woofers and the pub wasn't bad either. Only criticism was the shower block. Really clean no complaints there but the block was very small for size of the site. Both mornings I spied queues for the showers. Will be back

WOW! Fantastic welcome by the team on arrival, taken to our pitch and told where everything was on site. Great size pitches and high bushes make it feel very quiet. We took our 2 dogs and they have a large fenced off area for them to run around safely in which was fantastic. The Kennet and Avon Canal is just outside the gates with great tow paths to walk or bike on and the Caen Hill Locks are just a 30 min walk along the canal path. In all, a well kept park, great facilities, great atmosphere, well placed for doing things or just relaxing. Highly recommend a visit and we will be going back. 10/10

Excellent site well run.

Excellent site well run. Toilet/shower facilities very tired need updating although were kept very clean. The short access road leading to the site is peppered with irresponsible parking making access to the site almost impossible on occasions.

We rang Devizes C&CC after having had a bad experience at another campsite.

We rang Devizes C&CC after having had a bad experience at another campsite. We were told not to worry, they had a pitch available and to come on over. All the staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us - especially Steve and Jeanette (who had only arrived on site a day or two before us) they really went the extra mile to make us welcome and to help us out - Thank you both so much... This is the second time that we have stayed at this site and we were not disappointed either time. We were given a lovely quiet pitch, that backed on to the canal. The pitch was spacious and well kept as was the rest of the site. We enjoyed a walk into Devizes and also a walk down to the Barge inn which was lovely. Hopefully we will be back soon.
