Overview

From rolling hills to bustling market towns, the South Downs National Parks landscapes cover 1600km2 of breath-taking views and hidden gems. A rich tapestry of wildlife, landscapes, tranquillity and visitor attractions, weave together a story of people and place in harmony. Green rolling pastures, wide open spaces, ancient woodlands, river valleys and dramatic coastline, SDNP offers a landscape as diverse as it’s breath-taking. Enjoy ‘picture perfect’ villages, traditional country pubs and flourishing vineyards. This is truly a tranquil place with something for everyone close by and all easily accessible. Sandy Meadow Farm Is a beautiful, secluded small farm and Camp Site at Bignor in the heart of the SDNP, a short walk from Bignor Park, the Roman Villa and Lords Piece, a dogwalker’s paradise, with endless rights of way to explore. Come, stay, explore and enjoy! You will find farmer’s markets and local produce including local beers and sparkling wine to rival Champagne! In May 2016 SDNP became the world’s newest International Dark Sky Reserve. Our star-studded skies overhead are as valuable as our beautiful rolling landscapes. Sandy Meadow Farm and Bignor Hill rates as one of the darkest skies in the SDNP IDSR - ideal for laying on a blanket at night and watching the heavens.
