This was our first visit but it wont be our last. We found the site easily and were given a very warm welcome. In fact all the Wardens we met were lovely. The pitch was ideal for us and a short walk to the amenity block. TV reception was very good. The site does require some updating but the Wardens do a great job of looking after it. Its a shame some of the visitors didnt refrain from walking over the wet/muddy grass and walked it into the clean showers and toilets.
We will be definately return as its ideal for getting into London.

Despite being open all year, we would not recommend this site for a winter stay. The site's lighting is a real issue. The roads are covered in wet leaves and the site lighting is so dangerously poor that it is impossible to differentiate the roadway from the grass. Walking to the toilet block in the evening is an extremely hazardous expedition! Maintenance does not appear to be a priority, as throughout our stay the light on our hook-up bollard was not working. It would seem that light bulbs are in short supply, as it took three attempts to find a washing cubicle in the ladies with a working light. The toilet block although clean is in a shabby condition with peeling paint and discoloured and stained partitioning and walls. The showers are also the old fashioned push-button type - you definitely need a strong arm, given the frequency these have to be pushed during a shower. As club members for 20+ years, this is probably the worst maintained site we have stayed on. We are walking the Thames Path and it was an ideal location for this, but we won't be returning.
