Though Mr.

This review is for The Forge

Though Mr.Pipe provided some of the best instructions I have seen for accessing any site my main concern was the location. The site is on a single track narrow lane used extensively by very large farm vehicles and lorries. Being a single track road this was of some concern if we had met one of these vehicles when towing, even though there are some passing places periodically. I did meet a 40 tonne truck and trailer in my car. The site entrance is very tight for accessing the site with a gate. To access from the road due to the gate location you must block the road whilst undoing the coded padlock on the gate. It is unfortunate that the gate was not set back some 30ft from the road. Given the speed of some these huge tractors with trailers when entering or particularly exiting this site was of concern. On exiting the exit is blind to the lane due to hedgerow either side and in my opinion a mirror on the opposite of the lane should be provided for safety. Given my concern we thought the site was good and the owner very friendly and in tune with the needs of fellow caravanners. The WC facility was clean and well maintained. Good site, just needs some re-think about accessing from the road for safety given the amount and size of traffic using this lane.

Simply wonderful...and wonderfully simple.

Simply wonderful...and wonderfully simple. What more could you wish for? Pub a few hundred yards away (good food), Woodbridge and Aldeburgh a few miles away. Excellent cycling and walking countryside. Nothing for kids to do. A motocross track just down the road (nothing happening there while we were staying) - that might be noisy on a Sunday, but I don't think there will be many meetings there. The site owner Eddie is a star !
